A 57mm Turbo Perfect for Small Displacement Builds We all know that when it comes to performance automotive products, you often get what you pay for, especially when people start talking cheap turbos. For those of you with smaller displacement engines, including inline-fours or inline-sixes, V6s, or even small V8s (turbocharged Flathead anyone?) this T3/T4 turbo is a great choice, providing plenty of boost to dramatically increase your engine’s horsepower output. This 57mm T3/T4 turbo features a fully machined cast iron turbine housing that uses a standard T3 turbo flange inlet and 5-bolt outlet designed for an integral wastegate setup. Or you can bolt on a 5-bolt adapter flange to allow the plumbing of an external wastegate. Fitted between the cast aluminum compressor housing is an oil cooled journal bearing center housing assembly. The cast aluminum compressor housing comes as a 3-inch inlet and 2-inch outlet. Overall size means this turbo will fit in places many larger turbos will not, providing excellent under hood packaging. The T3 turbo exhaust inlet flange means the turbo will easily mount with a standard , while the 5-bolt turbine outlet will require a bolt on integral wastegate or an external wastegate adapter.
