You are bidding on one skate for the tower or auxilliary center bottom on a Stanley Number 55 combination wood plane as pictured. It is not marked (as expected). Condition on one side is fair to good, with some scattered little patches of rust, but the other side has more rust and probably a bit of pitting under that rust. The bottom edge is reasonably straight, but if you sight down the upper (slotted) part of the shaft, it has a slight but noticeable bend in about the middle. You can sort of see that in the last picture. To be clear, all that is included is the one skate piece as shown. SHIPPING: Under 1 pound, shipped in a padded envelope, shipped US Postal Service Ground Advantage, insurance is included. The Post Office now has several prices increases during each year, raising a few things but not everything at each increase. And they now raise their rates during the Holidays, which means early October to late January. Their big increases are in January, timed to start at the end of the Holiday rates, and this year is no exception. And it’s not just the postage rates, the insurance charges and the delivery signature charges have also gone up. There is now a surcharge for Priority Mail packages over 20″ long, and another for Priority Mail packages over 30″ long, because those longer packages won’t fit in their automatic machines. And the Post Office has discontinued the Regional Flat Rate boxes, which were often less expensive for certain sizes and weights. I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based both on what is the least expensive and on what I think is needed to protect the item. If the value is $250 or over, eBay requires your signature at delivery for the buyer and seller protections to be in effect.SALES TAX: Interstate sales tax is now the reality on all the major selling websites including eBay. If I ship to a state where eBay is required to collect sales tax, eBay will charge you the sales tax for your location.
